About

Our Story

Emergency Community Rescue originally started as an idea to help our community in their most dire times of need.  As such Alness First Responders was born, however from that we realised we could do so much more.  ECR was established to bring complete resilience to our community.  Be it handing out bottles of water if the supply is cut off, to helping find missing loved ones, our goal is to bring our community together so we can support each other.

If you wish to know more about how we assist the Ambulance Service by responding to life threatening 999 calls in our Community -  Please visit our Alness First Responder site.

Community Safety Patrols

This is one of our most publicly seen services.  Our specially trained volunteers give up there evening's at the weekend to look after local people, and those visiting, who are out to have a good night.  Whether it is a broken heel and you need flip-flops, or to assist police with vulnerable people, we want to make sure your 'good night' stays that way.

Search and Rescue

We help local Authorities with Missing Person search's.  Our team are trained in lowland Search and Rescue, First Response Emergency Care level 3 (FREC3) as well as water rescue.

Community Resilience

At the heart of everything we do is community, and some of the simplest ideas can have the greatest impact.  Be it delivering water when the supply is out, teaching CPR and Defibrillator use to local people, or a Community Christmas meal for those who are alone.  Our aim is to empower our community with a spirit and resilience that means no challenge is insurmountable.
